Food Drives

Many people are struggling to pay for utilities or buy food. One in four children under 5 go to bed hungry in South Carolina every night.

Many citizens do not make enough at their jobs or Social Security retirement to buy food and food banks help a great deal. Each Food Drive collects canned goods and other non-perishable food items for needy families in our local area. Food drives help raise awareness of hunger in our community. While we collect food for people in need, we play an essential role in the fight against hunger.

Non-perishable donations that last the longest are often best. Needed food items such canned tuna, cereals, boxed pasta, peanut butter, canned fruits, and vegetables can be stored and transported to food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the area.
