Anger Management and Conflict Resolution Training Begins at Karate World This Month!

The first step in dealing with managing your anger is to recognize that a situation is escalating and that you are losing your temper. At this point you should stop immediately and remove yourself from the situation.Go somewhere that you feel safe and comfortable so that you can begin step two, which is cooling down. Karate world students will be asked to make their own personal list of cool down activities, but I will list some popular suggestions below:

1.take 10 slow deep breaths / meditate

2.drink a glass of water

3.read a book

4.physical activity such as exercise, bike riding, or sports

Once you have removed yourself from the situation and calmed down, then you’re able to move forward and attempt to resolve your conflict. In our next segment we will talk about how to do just that!
