Student of the Month: Harrison Cevasco

After School Martial Arts Program Registration: If you are looking for an after school program or know someone who is we will be having open registration on Thursday, August 1st, Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th from 4:30pm–6:00pm. Our program fills up fast, so come in and register to save your spot!

Jiu Jitsu Camp: August 12–16, we will be working hard on throws, pins, escapes and submissions on the ground as well as sparring, forms and games! Still some space left. Camp is $100.

• Camp Times: 9am–1pm

• Bring lunch and a snack.

• Wear what you normally wear to class.

• All under belts will earn an extra rank stripe for each camp.

• All advanced & Black Belt students will earn 5 leadership points for each camp.

Buddy Week: August 19th–23rd

Bring a Buddy / Break a Board: Saturday, August 31st from 11am–12pm. This seminar is FREE to the first 20 people who sign up, but you have to bring a buddy who has never been to Karate World, but may be interested in signing up  for lessons. You will get to break a real board!

Tournament Tune-up Day:  Saturday, September 14th from 11am–1pm. Come get extra practice geared specifically to get you ready for the Sun Fun Classic on October 5th. We will cover forms, practice and point sparring. (2 leadership points for Advanced Belt Students) Fee for this seminar is only $20.

Beach Sweep: Join us for the City of Surfside Beach Sweep! Saturday, September 21st at 9am at the Surfside Beach Pier. Wear your Karate World t-shirt and help us clean the beach!

Sun Fun Tournament 2013:  Saturday, October 5th, 2013. Awards: All competitors awarded an Event Participation “Ninja Star” Belt Buckle*. Ribbons awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Place Winners. *Parents may choose a Trophy for their child instead of the belt buckle.

Message of the Month: “Why is school important?”

Project: Bring tissues, hand sanitizer, copy paper, pencil sharpeners, etc. to be donated to local schools.
